This Privacy Policy explains how Emille Rosa Ltd, an Irish company with registered office at 192 South Circular Road, Dublin 8, D08 RD0X, Ireland, and Companies Registration Office (CRO) number 739102 ("Well Travelled", "we", "us", or "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data in connection with the Well Travelled mobile application (the "App").
This policy applies only to the App. Our website, store, magazine, community membership, and Substack newsletter are governed by separate notices.


This policy is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados, LGPD, Law 13.709/2018), and other applicable data protection laws.

2. Our Service Provider (Processor)

The App is developed and operated on our behalf by Ghost Ship Serviços em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda ME (CNPJ 08.650.890/0001-99), based in Curitiba, Brazil ("Ghost Ship"). Ghost Ship acts as our data processor / operator under a written Data Processing Agreement that includes EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the European Economic Area to Brazil. Ghost Ship processes personal data only on our documented instructions.

3. What Personal Data We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

Account information: username, email address, and — if you provide them voluntarily — your full name and profile details. Authentication credentials (such as passwords for email-based sign-in) are managed by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never stored on our own systems.Travel inputs: the travel-related text, dates, and location names you enter into the App to generate stickers (for example, the name of a city you visited or a date range for a trip)Customer support communications: messages you send us via email or in-app support
We do not require your date of birth. We confirm your eligibility through a one-time age confirmation (see Section 13).

3.2 Information from Third-Party Login Providers

If you sign in using Apple, Google, or Instagram, we receive a limited set of profile data from the provider you choose:

We do not access your contacts, posts, photos, or social graph from any of these providers, beyond what is required to authenticate you.

3.3 Information We Collect Automatically

4. Why We Process Your Data and Legal Basis

You can withdraw any consent at any time by contacting dpo@welltravelled.global or via the in-app settings where available. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

5. Sticker Generation and Use of Your Inputs

When you create a sticker, the travel text, dates, and location names you provide are saved to your account so you can edit, reuse, or recreate stickers later. Sticker rendering happens locally on your device — we do not generate or store the rendered sticker images on our servers.
Subject to your consent, we may also use your travel inputs and aggregated usage patterns to:

This use is described in more detail in our Terms of Use (Section 6). It is based on legitimate interest under GDPR for non-sensitive data and on consent for any sensitive personal data you may provide. You can opt out at any time by contacting dpo@welltravelled.global.
We do not currently use AI to generate stickers or to process your inputs in real time.

6. How We Share Your Data

We share personal data only with the categories of recipients below, and only for the purposes described.

6.1 Our Processor

Ghost Ship Serviços em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda ME — develops and operates the App on our behalf, hosts user data, and provides technical support, all under a Data Processing Agreement

6.2 Sub-Processors and Service Providers

Through Ghost Ship and directly, we use the following service providers to operate the App:

6.3 Advertising Partners

We use advertising platforms to reach potential users on third-party services. We share with them:

We do not display third-party ads inside the App at this time. We do not share your travel inputs, account password, or content of communications with advertising partners.
You can limit identifier-based ad targeting by declining the App Tracking Transparency prompt on iOS (or revoking it later under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).

6.4 Marketing and Newsletter

If you opt in to marketing communications, we share your email address with the email service providers we use to send our newsletter (which may include Substack or similar platforms). These providers process your data on our behalf.

6.5 Legal and Safety

We may share data when we believe in good faith it is necessary to:

6.6 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you and ensure equivalent protections apply.

6.7 What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your travel inputs or other identifiable content with advertising partners.

7. International Data Transfers

We are based in Ireland. Our processor and several of our sub-processors operate outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United Kingdom (Hostinger), the United States (Supabase, Resend, RevenueCat, Meta, TikTok, Apple), and Brazil (Ghost Ship). Some of our processors are based within the EEA (PostHog).
For transfers outside the EEA we rely on:

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days from active systems. Backups containing your data may persist for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten or destroyed. Anonymized derivatives are retained as described in Section 5.

Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data.

9.3 How to Exercise Your Rights

Email dpo@welltravelled.global. We will respond within 30 days for GDPR requests (extendable by up to 60 additional days for complex requests) and within 15 days for LGPD requests (extendable as permitted by law). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

10. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time:

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

No system is completely secure. If you become aware of any vulnerability or suspected breach, please contact dpo@welltravelled.global.
In the event of a personal data breach that creates risk to you, we will notify you and the relevant authority within the timeframes required by law (in the EU, generally within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach).

12. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The App itself does not use web cookies but uses device identifiers as described in Sections 3 and 6. Our website (welltravelled.global) uses cookies; the website's separate cookie notice describes those.

13. Children

The App is intended for users aged 16 and over. When you create an account, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided personal data to us, we will delete the account and associated data promptly. If you believe a child under 16 has used the App, please contact dpo@welltravelled.global.

14. Marketing Communications

If you opt in to marketing emails (newsletter, product announcements, promotional offers), we will send you communications based on your consent. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it or contacting dpo@welltravelled.global. Opting out of marketing does not affect transactional emails (account, billing, security).

15. Future Subscriptions

We may introduce paid subscription features in the future. If we do, payments will be processed through Apple In-App Purchases (or another payment provider we may add), and we will update this policy to reflect any new processing activities before they take effect.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you (by email and/or in-app notification) before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the App after the effective date means you accept the updated policy.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Emille Rosa Ltd, an Irish company with registered office at 192 South Circular Road, Dublin 8, D08 RD0X, Ireland, and Companies Registration Office (CRO) number 739102 ("Well Travelled", "we", "us", or "our"). They govern your access to and use of the Well Travelled mobile application (the "App").
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The App is developed and operated on our behalf by Ghost Ship Serviços em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda ME (CNPJ 08.650.890/0001-99), our service provider and data processor. Ghost Ship is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms as set out in Section 19.
These Terms apply only to the App. Our website, store, magazine, community membership, and Substack newsletter are governed by separate terms.

1. Overview

The Well Travelled App is a creative tool that allows users to:
Enter travel-related information (such as destinations, dates, and short text)Generate template-based digital stickers from those inputs, rendered locally on the user's deviceExport stickers for use on Instagram Stories and other social media
The App is currently free. We may introduce paid features in the future.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction (18 in Ireland and Brazil; varies elsewhere), you may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who has read and accepts these Terms on your behalf.
By using the App, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You may need to create an account to use certain features. You may register using email and password, or via Apple, Google, or Instagram sign-in.
You agree to:
Provide accurate, current, and complete information when registeringKeep your account credentials confidentialNotify us immediately at dpo@welltravelled.global of any unauthorized use of your accountNot share, sell, or transfer your accountNot create accounts using automated means or to circumvent suspensions, bans, or quotas

4. License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
You may not:
Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the AppReverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable lawRent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, or distribute the AppRemove or alter any proprietary noticesUse the App for any unlawful purpose

5. Stickers and License to You

When you generate a sticker using the App, we grant you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the sticker for personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing it on your own social media accounts.
You may not:
Sell, license, or otherwise commercially exploit stickers generated by the AppUse stickers in advertising, branded content, sponsored posts, or any commercial campaign without our prior written permissionClaim authorship of the underlying templates, designs, fonts, illustrations, or trade dressRemove any attribution, branding, or watermarks we include in or with the stickersUse stickers to imply an endorsement, partnership, or association with Well Travelled or any third party
The underlying templates, designs, illustrations, fonts, layouts, and other creative elements remain the property of Emille Rosa Ltd and/or its licensors at all times.

6. Your Content and License You Grant to Us

The App allows you to submit text, dates, location names, and other inputs (collectively, "User Content").

6.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of your User Content.

6.2 License to Us

By submitting User Content to the App, you grant Emille Rosa Ltd a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicensable, transferable, and perpetual license to host, store, process, transmit, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, and analyze your User Content for the following purposes:
Operating, providing, securing, and improving the AppGenerating stickers for youImproving our templates and developing new featuresTraining, fine-tuning, evaluating, and improving artificial intelligence and machine learning models we may develop or use, including models that may continue to exist after your User Content is deleted from your accountGenerating anonymized and aggregated datasets for research, analytics, public reporting, and the development of new products and servicesDetecting fraud, abuse, and violations of these TermsEnforcing these Terms
This license survives the deletion of your User Content and the termination of your account, but only with respect to anonymized derivatives, aggregated datasets, and any AI/ML models that no longer contain personally identifiable data.

6.3 Optional Uses Requiring Your Separate Consent

We will only do the following with your separate, informed consent (which you can withdraw at any time):
Use identifiable User Content (such as travel content that includes recognizable personal details) in marketing materials, case studies, social media, or testimonials

6.4 What We Do Not Do

We do not sell or license your identifiable User Content to third parties for their independent commercial purposes.

6.5 Your Representations About User Content

You represent and warrant that:
You own or have all necessary rights to the User Content you submitYour User Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rightsYour User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable lawIf your User Content references or depicts another person, you have any necessary permission from them

7. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms. You will not, and you will not use stickers generated through the App to:
Promote or facilitate illegal activityPromote, glorify, or incite hatred, harassment, racism, discrimination, or violencePromote sexually explicit, abusive, or graphic contentDefame, harass, threaten, intimidate, or impersonate any personPromote scams, fraud, phishing, or deceptive practicesInfringe the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights of any third partyUse other people's logos, brand assets, copyrighted images, or registered trademarks without authorizationUse the App or its outputs to create misleading content or misinformationAttempt to manipulate, deceive, reverse-engineer, probe, or abuse the App or our infrastructureUpload malware, viruses, or other harmful codeScrape, crawl, or extract data from the App by automated meansCreate multiple accounts to circumvent suspensions, quotas, or restrictionsResell, redistribute, or commercially exploit any part of the App or its contentInterfere with or disrupt the App's functionality, infrastructure, or securityUse the App in violation of any applicable export control or sanctions law
We may, but are not obligated to, review User Content and stickers shared in connection with the App to enforce these Terms. We may remove any User Content and suspend or terminate any account at our discretion as set out in Section 13.

8. Reporting Abuse and Copyright Complaints

8.1 Reporting Objectionable Content or Conduct

If you become aware of User Content, stickers, or user conduct that violates these Terms, please report it to dpo@welltravelled.global. We aim to review reports within 24 hours of receipt. We may remove content or take action against users at our discretion.

8.2 Copyright Complaints

If you believe content available through the App infringes your copyright, please send a notice to dpo@welltravelled.global including:

9. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the App, the Well Travelled name and logo, sticker templates, designs, illustrations, fonts, software, graphics, and other content (excluding User Content) are owned by Emille Rosa Ltd or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
The Well Travelled brand and intellectual property are owned by Emille Rosa Ltd. Ghost Ship operates the App under license from Emille Rosa Ltd and acquires no rights in the brand.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any of those rights to you, except for the limited licenses expressly granted in Sections 4 and 5.

10. Future Subscriptions and Purchases

We may introduce paid features through auto-renewing subscriptions or one-time purchases in the future. If we do:
In-app purchases will be processed through Apple In-App Purchases and billed to your Apple ID. 11. Advertising

The App may display third-party advertising in the future. We may also use device identifiers and aggregated audience data to advertise the App on third-party platforms (such as Meta and TikTok). We are not responsible for third-party ad content. Our use of advertising is described further in our Privacy Policy.

12. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including without limitation Apple, Google (Firebase), Meta, TikTok, Instagram, and our hosting and email providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them. We may add, change, or remove third-party services at any time.

13. Suspension and Termination

13.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account from within the App or by contacting dpo@welltravelled.global. If you have an active subscription (when offered), you must cancel it separately as described in Section 10.

13.2 Termination by Us

We may, at our sole discretion and with or without prior notice:

We may take any of these actions if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms; engaged in conduct that is harmful, abusive, or fraudulent; created risk to other users, our staff, our service providers, or our infrastructure; or for any other legitimate business reason.

13.3 Effect of Termination

If your account is terminated for cause due to a violation of these Terms, you are not entitled to a refund except as required by applicable law. The license you grant in Section 6.2 survives termination as set out in that section. Any stickers you have already exported may continue to be used by you in accordance with Section 5, subject to these Terms continuing to apply to that use. Sections 5, 6, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 20 survive termination.

14. Changes to the App and These Terms

We may update, modify, or discontinue features, content, or services at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide reasonable advance notice (for example, by email or in-app notification). Your continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

15. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including any warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or freedom from errors or harmful components.
We do not warrant that:
The App will meet your requirementsThe App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-freeAny defects will be correctedStickers generated by the App will be free of typographical or visual errorsThe App will be compatible with all devices
This Section does not exclude or limit any warranties or rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protection rights.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
In no event will Emille Rosa Ltd, Ghost Ship Serviços em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda ME, or any of their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, or service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption, arising out of or related to the App or these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or related to the App or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:
(a) the total amounts you paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR €100.

17. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Emille Rosa Ltd, Ghost Ship Serviços em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda ME, and their respective affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and service providers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:

18. Apple App Store Additional Terms

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge and agree:
These Terms are between you and Emille Rosa Ltd (and Ghost Ship as service provider and third-party beneficiary), not Apple. 19. Ghost Ship as Third-Party Beneficiary

Ghost Ship Serviços em Tecnologia da Informação Ltda ME, the developer and operator of the App, is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms. Specifically, the disclaimers in Section 15, the limitation of liability in Section 16, the indemnification in Section 17, and any other provision that expressly benefits Ghost Ship may be enforced by Ghost Ship directly against you.

20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, and excluding the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
You and Emille Rosa Ltd agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the App, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives a consumer the right to bring proceedings in their place of residence (in which case both that local jurisdiction and the courts of Ireland will have non-exclusive jurisdiction).

21. General Provisions

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
No Waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Force Majeure. We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, materials, or telecommunications or internet service.
Notices. We may give notices to you by email, in-app notification, or by posting on our website. You may give notices to us at dpo@welltravelled.global.
Language. These Terms may be translated into other languages for convenience. In case of conflict between versions, the English version prevails, except where local law requires otherwise.
